Weird Japanese Beauty Masks

Many of you may know my obsession with exotic (and weird/crazy) beauty treatments from around the globe. One of the things on my Global Beauty Bucket List was to try the Japanese Nightingale Droppings facial (aka bird sh*t facial). Apparently Geishas used to use this product to remove all their makeup and keep their skin light, bright and clear. It became even more popular a few years ago when Victoria Beckham said she used. Sounds good right? Right. I also got my hands on some other fun goodies; a snail mask and a snake venom mask. The things we do for beauty! Dinner Party at My Place

Hi! Last week I partnered with SupperSack to throw a delish dinner party at my place with some of my favorite female blogger buddies. SupperSack is meal planning and grocery delivery service based out of LA and it’s perfect for anyone who is busy and wants to provide some kick-ass dinners for themselves, significant other and/or kids. Monica, the creator, came over and whipped up a sample of what she delivers and everything is fresh, easy to prepare and full of flavor. My girlfriends and I enjoyed every bite and tweeted up a storm with our favorites from the night. Another added bonus was my friend Samantha, who just launched Clean Cocktails, provided us with some guilt-free libations to ensure we had a ridiculously perfect time. Crazy New Workout in Santa Monica

Mother’s Day at the Spa

Hello cyber kitty kats! Last weekend I had the pleasure of celebrating Mother’s Day early by taking my cute lil mom to the Burke Williams Spa in Torrance. Two fun facts about my mom: (and possibly YOUR mom!?) spending time with her kids is one of her favorite things to do, and going to the spa is a close second. Combine the two together and the result is one happy mom! The Burke in Torrance did a great job of sweeping us both off our feet. The services were fabulous (as usual) but then they went and added champagne and fancy fruit plate to really wow us. Well done Burke, well done. The video below shows my mom and I acting like children (typical) and having a perfect day together. Take a look!

Tokyo

I’m so excited to share this video with you guys! As many of you may know I had the pleasure of visiting Japan earlier this month and it was a dream come true. I knew I would love Japan, but my expectations were far exceeded. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything was- and for a city as bustling as Tokyo, that cannot be an easy task. The second thing that immediately stood out to me was the politeness of the people as a whole. I have done my fair share of traveling abroad and I have never met a more respectful, humble group of people. Visiting during peak Cherry Blossom season was also another treat. The country was in full bloom and I loved every second of it. One week in Japan gave me a taste of the country, and I know I want to go back for more! Take a look my pics and enjoy the video.
