Nothing says fall like a trip to the pumpkin patch. Even though I am 28 years old, I still get pleasure from picking out the perfect pumpkin to carve. After years of driving by, I decided to drag my hubby to the Malibu Feed Bin on PCH and check out what fall goodies they had to offer.
I never knew what these odd shaped, bright colored things were called until recently. I grabbed a bunch of unique gourds and placed them in a glass bowl on my dining room table. Don’t they make nice fall decorations? I wonder what they taste like….
On a completely different note, if you are looking for an intense read this fall, check out LA based author Ghalib Dhalla and his latest work titled “Two Krishnas;” a powerful book filled with love, passion, regret, hope, history and sadness. It takes place primarily on the west side of Los Angeles with Rahul, a banker, who seems to have the perfect life; good job, beautiful wife, handsome son, yet is conflicted with his sexuality. Ghalib writes from multiple perspectives about the struggles that immigrants go through to find a feeling of home.
