Sometimes I get stuck in my Westside bubble (i.e. nothing east of the 405 after 4pm. Angelenos can feel me on that one!) BUT when I was recently invited to dinner in Hollywood with a group of fun ladies I jumped at the chance to venture east and explore the newly opened restaurant; LitteFork. The owners of Littlefork are the same people that do A-Frame and Sunny Spot, and while I haven’t been to those locations I have heard great things. Back to LittleFork. It’s modern and sleek inside with a little bar scene that serves up killer cocktails. Try the Logan Square. It’s soooo different from anything I’ve ever had… and that says a lot! Let’s talk food; the menu has a unique variety of flavors inspired by the East Coast-think creative Seafood dishes accompanied by delish small plates. I would definitely recommend the cauliflower with raisins as a side. (I could’ve eaten an entire bucket of it). I also thoroughly enjoyed every bite of all the salads. I don’t have that big of a sweet tooth, but the apple cider donuts were also insane. Enjoy the food porn below.

And lastly, to steal a quote from my friend at EatDrinkLA, this place may be called little fork, but it has a great big taste!

Hi Cybes! Raise your hand if you watched the Golden Globes. I did! I love award season. Last year my mom and I started a tradition where we commentate on the hair, makeup and fashion on the carpet. (While drinking wine of course) Below is a quick video highlighting are best and worst picks of the night. Watch out fashion police!
What are your thoughts? Feel free to share.

P.S. The wine was Robert Mondavi’s new Coastal Crush blend. (YUM!)

It’s Travel Tuesday. Yippee! You all know how much I love to travel and share my worldwide adventures with my cyber friends. Hopefully you are enjoying them ; ) You may have seen my previous videos from The Broadmoor (if not, click here and here.) This particular footage shows more of the property including my ultra lux cottage, the grounds and the spa. Take a peek and see for yourself.
If you are feeling adventurous and you want to explore outside of The Broadmoor, consider heading to the Academy Riding Stables, hopping on a horse and enjoying the beautiful scenery at the Garden of the Gods. Definitely ask for Walter and tell him I sent you! ; )
For all my fellow Angelenos, I scored a killer deal on a nonstop flight from LAX to Colorado Springs (umm… $160 ROUNTRIP on United!) I genuinely hope everyone gets a chance to experience a fabulous stay at The Broadmoor. If you do plan on going any time soon, consider booking your room through Room77.com.

Don’t you just love warm, spicy cocktails on cold wintery nights!? I do! Krista Hinkle, bartender extraordinaire from The Broadmoor, taught my girlfriend Rachel and I how to make the perfect winter cocktail. She whipped up a handful of Sharzad friendly ingredients like Chai tea, vanilla rum, cinnamon and orange bitters to create what I like to call a mouthgasm. Check out the video below to see her in action.
Steps for making Wintery Chai delisciousness:
Step 1: Brew a strong pot of your favorite Chai tea (add your desired amount of Chai to a glass)
Step 2: Stir up some heavy whipping cream (set aside)
Step 3: Add ¾ ounce of vanilla rum to your glass of Chai
Step 4: Add ½ ounce brown sugar simple syrup to your glass
Step 5: Add 2 dashes of your favorite orange bitters
Step 6: Drizzle the cream over the top of your glass
Step 7: Sprinkle the top with cinnamon
Step 8: Shave an orange peel and twist it over the top of your drink
Step 9: Add sweet and crispy baked orange peels as a garnish
Step 10: ENJOY!!!
Always remember you can modify this cocktail to your liking.

Hello travel junkie, foodie loving cyber friends! If you follow me on Istagram, Twitter and FB you may remember that I visited Colorado Springs earlier this month. My trip, along with the entire month of December seemed to fly by at a rapid pace but luckily I was able to document some of the highlights. One of my first stops on my adventures in Colorado Springs trip was a cooking session with Executive Chef Bertrand of the beautiful Broadmoor. He whipped up a ridiculously tasty dish of halibut wrapped in potatoes and served on a bed of creamed leeks with a port reduction sauce. I’m still drooling over the food and I can’t wait to go back for more. Watch the video to see us in action!
Stay tuned for two more videos from The Broadmoor coming out over the next few weeks!
