Right around 7-8 months pregnant I noticed some serious joint pain happening, especially in my wrists. I figured it was due to the fact that I gained a ton of weight. (Hi 55 pounds) Fast forward to now, I’ve lost a decent amount of weight (still 15 to go) but my wrist pain has gotten worse. After multiple trips to the doctor I decided it was time to freeze myself. Wait, what!?! I know, so random right? Apparently freezing yourself is great for inflammation, arthritis and a ton of other ailments. I headed to the Cryo Health Care Clinic in West Hollywood and hopped in a machine that was set at 220 below. Repeat -220 degrees. You’re going to have to watch the video to see what happens!
This past Saturday I headed to San Diego to film an easy, quick mom and baby workout with two of my besties. IFBB Figure Pro Victoria Adelus, (aka one of my besties) demonstrated how to workout our upper body with three easy moves, the best part it, we use our babies as weights! In the video you will notice I’m wearing some awesome yoga pants, well they are from YogaOutlet.com. YogaOutlet.com is offering my readers 15% off their first purchase, just use the code “bridgepose” when checking out. There are tons of great deals on the site. Enjoy the video below.
I truly can’t believe it’s been three years since I started my online journey! When I began my blog my makeup career was in a transitional place and I knew I no longer wanted to do it professionally. I longed for something more exciting….but I wasn’t sure what or how or when. In high school I wanted to host a show (specifically one like Wild on E!) and somehow along the way that dream seemed like it would never come to fruition. Doing makeup allowed me to be part of the exciting world of entertainment without really putting myself out there… but it wasn’t my true passion. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the beauty industry, but I wanted to be on camera! It took me a really long time to admit that to myself.
I am so thankful EVERYDAY that I started chasing my dreams when I did. I can’t imagine not doing what I do. It’s opened up doors and opportunities I truly only dreamed about. I’m not trying to toot my own horn, I’m trying to encourage people to go after what they want. There is a saying in farsi “Whenever you get the fish out of the water, it’s fresh” basically to me that means that no matter where you are in your life, it’s not to late to start something new and go after what you want.
I love my job and have worked harder than ever. I have no clue where I will be next year or in five years and that’s what is so exciting about what I do. There are endless possibilities and the sky truly is the limit.
I want to take a minute to say a sincere THANK YOU to everyone who has followed my online journey with me. Without your support I wouldn’t be able to do what I do.
Last thing before I end my rant- I am giving away ONE ticket to come hear me speak on October 7th in LA with a ton of other major movers and shakers online. To qualify, just send me an email telling me what your dream job is and why you want the ticket. It’s that simple. I will pick a winner by Friday!

*Must be able to get to Los Angeles! I can’t fly anyone in yet… sorry! One day!
The end of the year is a great time reflect, think about what you’ve accomplished, and where you want to go the following year. As I look back at my lyfe I can’t help but think that this was one of the best years I’ve ever had. For that, I want to say a big thank you to everyone for following my blog, watching my YouTube channel and supporting me throughout this exciting journey. Growing this blog/channel has been one of the greatest challenges I’ve ever faced, but I’m so grateful I took a leap of faith and launched this baby back in August 2011. It seems like an eternity since the days of being a makeup artist and powdering bitchy celebs! 2014 looks bright and I can’t wait for all the new adventures- most importantly, becoming a MOM. (Holy Shiz!) I genuinely hope that you all have a wonderful, healthy, positive New Year and that you chase your dreams, both big and small. Anything is possible friends! Below is a look at some of my favorite moments from 2013, THANKS again for all your lovin’.
Love ya cyber kitties! Gotta Go!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season. On this episode of the Baby Diaries Michael and I share some updates and briefly talk about weight gain. (No fun!) I would love to hear from some of you fit mamas on how you managed your weight during pregnancy and after. Please share any recipes and/or workout tips! Have a wonderful day cyber friends!
Happy Friday everyone! I hope all my fellow Southern Californians have something outdoors planned this weekend because it’s going to be HOT HOT HOT! No cozy sweaters in my future. It’s hard to imagine the holidays are so close especially with this scorching heat, but on yesterday’s episode of TMV the ladies and I discussed how we attempt to stay somewhat healthy during the holidays. Check out the episode by clicking HERE. Also, this is the last episode on this set. Starting next week we will have lots of changes and a big surprise!
Almond Milk, approximately 10-13 ounces
1 Tbsn Honey
A pinch of cinnamon
1-2 drops of Vanilla Extract
About 15-20 rasins
1/3 Can Organic Pumpkin Pie Mix
Blend everything together and ENJOY!
*I do add honey to this smoothie, which I know die hard vegans avoid, so you can always skip that ingredient or use Agave.
P.S. I received some questions about my necklace in this video and I wanted to let you know it’s from Hearts.com
Are you ready for some more DIY beauty fun with Genevieve from Mama Natural!?! Hope so! Below is a video that we did on her channel where I share two of my favorite, super easy to make, scrubs. One is for your face and the other for your body. I would like to point out that I have extremely sensitive skin and neither one of these irritate me at all. Best part is the ingredients are readily available at most grocery stores, especially Whole Foods. You might even have everything in your house right now. The recipes are below. Enjoy!
Last week I had the pleasure of filming a fun video with Genevieve from Mama Natural. She taught me some of her favorite at home beauty masks. Both are SO easy and only require two ingredients each. Check out the video below!
The lemon & egg white mask consists of… wait for it… lemon and egg whites! All you need is a half a lemon and one egg white. Whisk it together and apply to your clean face. Leave on for about 15ish minutes and rinse. If you have any left over you can use it on your hair. Bam! Two in one.
The orange juice and baking soda mask is just as easy as it sounds. Mix those two ingredients together to form a thick paste and apply to your face. Leave the mask on for about 10-15 mins and rinse!
Now go and check out her channel because I made a video sharing my favorite homemade exfoliators.
Have a great week kitties! Gotta Go!
Growing up in California I never paid attention to Wisconsin. Other than cheese, football and cold weather I really didn’t know much about it. It wasn’t until about four years ago, when I first visited the charming town of Lake Geneva, that my view of Wisconsin completely changed. I was impressed with it’s natural beauty and blown away by the multi million dollar mansions that surrounded the lake. Only an hour and a half outside of Chicago, this posh lake town is the ideal getaway. When the Grand Geneva Resort invited me to celebrate their 45th anniversary last month I jumped at the chance to revisit the picture perfect American town. My recent trip was filled with boating, eating, spa-ing, kayaking, playing, drinking and exploring the beautiful resort. It was perfection. Below is a glimpse of my trip including some photos and a video. Enjoy!
