My love for the Four Seasons Hotels has been well documented over the years. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting their properties all over the world including Istanbul, Beverly Hills, Boston, Santa Barbara and now Chicago! While in the Windy City last week I was lucky enough to visit their beautiful spa and get a bamboo massage by Thea (she has MAGIC hands!) Warm bamboo sticks were used all over my body to relieve muscle tension, tightness and improve circulation. I was on cloud nine during the treatment. #HappyMama After my pamper sesh, my fam and I dined at Allium where we had a decadent brunch filled with things like sticky bread and a wheel of salad. Yes, yes and more yes. Don’t even get me started on the dessert bar. It was overflowing with the cutest bite size treats. I may have gotten carried away. Oopsies. Ok, you get the idea, Four Seasons is super lux and the service is five star every time. Can I make a suggestion? Get your mama (or tell someone to get you) a gift card to a Four Seasons near you for an extraordinary experience of a lifetime. With the Four Seasons Gift Card, you choose the amount and they choose the gift: overnight stays, dining experiences, luxury spa treatments and more at Four Seasons hotels and resorts around the world. Want some good news!?! This Mother’s Day I have a treat for you. YOU have the chance to win a $250 gift card to ANY FOUR SEASONS in the world. There are 94 locations in 39 different countries. Oh Snap.

Babes and power tools!?!? YES. Yours truly used a nail gun, sand blaster AND did some edge banding for the very first time with the help of my friend Kelly Edwards. She is the DIY House Call hostess extraordinaire and the brains behind the awesome makeover my home received a few weeks ago. Some of you may remember from my house tour there was an unusable space I had in my family room/kitchen area. I was desperate to turn it into a place that was both functional, chic and baby friendly. BAM. Ask and you shall receive. Thanks to The Design Network, Home Depot and Kelly all my home decor dreams came true. I’m writing this post from my new space and I freaking love it. I’m thrilled to share my family photos with you guys! Since we shot our maternity photos at the beach I figured we should keep the theme going and do most of our family photos there as well. (The first few are in my bedroom)I’m also wearing the same dress… partially because I thought it would be cool- like a before and after, but mostly it was because I had nothing to wear! I used the same photographer as well- my beautiful friend Alana. You can check her out on YouTube by clicking here. I ALSO had a special treat of getting my hair done by Audrey from Rabar Beauty. Rabar is a new salon that offers blowouts, cut/color, makeup application, brow tinting and event hosting. If you and your crew want to do a beauty brunch with champagne and hors devours- check ‘em out.
My new show finally has a name- The SASS! Aka The Susan And Sharzad Show. Do you like it!?!? Hope so! I don’t know how many of you have ever tried naming a SHOW but let me tell you, it’s hard. We spent weeks coming up with different suggestions and nothing was sticking. We also LOVED hearing your suggestions- it is so cool to see how excited everyone is for this. After a while we decided we didn’t want the word beauty in it because we felt like that was limiting and who knows where this fun adventure will take us… perhaps we’ll be doing weird workouts in Bali. A girl can dream. Anyway, below is the video where we make our big announcement and also do some awkward accents! Enjoy!
As some of you may know I’ve always been obsessed with trying beauty treatments that are new, weird, crazy, scary, painful, awkward, foreign.. I can go on. After years of experimenting (Birdsh*t facial from Japan, Hammam Hopping in Istanbul, Fish Pedicures in Thailand) I finally have a partner in crime who is up for the same adventures as I am. Allow me to introduce you to my girl Susan Yara. It is with extreme happiness that I announce a brand new show that I’m co-hosting with her. She shares my love for bizarre beauty and together there isn’t anything we won’t try! Check out the trailer for our new series below which will be released on Mixed Makeup in Febuary. We’re also looking for a name… Have any ideas?? Leave them below the video! If we choose your name you will receive a SICK box of beauty goodies. CAN’T WAIT!!!!
My family and I were fortunate enough to ring in 2015 at one of our favorite resorts in America, The Broadmoor located in beautiful Colorado Springs. It’s a historic, luxurious hotel with an endless amount of things to do, places to eat, drink and and a fabulous spa to get your pamper on. Even though I’ve been there 3 times in the last two years I find new activities with each visit and there is still so much more to see. The Broadmoor is constantly evolving, updating and expanding. Below are some highlights from our trip that included seeing the property covered in fresh white snow, the stunning spa, and a few glimpses of the food. Did I mention there are seven killer restaurants on the property! Michael and I were also invited to a lux private party held at the beautiful Penrose room to ring in the new year. We had a seven course meal with wine pairings, so yeah, we were pretty excited about that.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures. The Broadmoor truly is one of my favorite places to visit. The service is spectacular, the property is breathtaking and there is no shortage of things to do for couples, friends, or families. Every season offers up a new kind of beauty and activities. Want to see more!?! Watch our family vlog!
Have a great week everyone!
P.S. For those asking on Instagram the lip color I was rocking was Butter Lip Balm from NYX in Red Velvet with Cherry liner from MAC.
Oh hi bloggy that I have neglected SO MUCH this past month. Oopsies. I’ve been super busy filming a bunch of exciting new content for my channel and The Mom’s View. I also have a new series I’m co-hosting on Mixed Makeup in February, so GET EXCITED for that! More details coming soon. In the meantime you can watch the latest Mom’s View where the ladies and I sit down with Soleil Moon Frye to hear about her adorable crafts that are perfect for entertaining your little ones. Hope you enjoy the episode!
A MASSIVE, HUGE, GIGANTIC THANK YOU to everyone for helping me make this year so AWESOME! I love you all to bits and I hope you have a happy and safe new year!
Happy Monday! Hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving. I just realized it’s been a almost two weeks since my last update on here. Yikes. #BadSharzad I’m still trying to figure out that balance between motherhood, working on all my projects, being sane and more importantly showering! We have been BUSY the last two weeks visiting family in Chicago and the Bay Area. We’re back in LA and ready for to tackle this month. (Oh hi December) Baby Idris was grandma hopping all over the country and below are some snaps from our adventures in chilly Chicago (it was 18 when we landed!) to the Bay.
