Summer Favorites & Updates

Hi kitties! So, I had a perma-grin on my face all day yesterday thinking about my mention in the Wall Street Journal. In case you missed it the link can be found here. To summarize I have been asked to host a new season of a popular show on YouTube called The Moms View (as you know, I am not a mom and am meant to represent the non-mom perspective).  It’s re-branding, re-launching and I am lucky enough to join in on the fun. Hopefully I’ll have more updates in the next few weeks- but we’re all aiming for mid-July, so please stay tuned!  Here’s a screenshot of my mention ; )))

Fun Photos

Kitties! I’m sorry I missed makeup monday yesterday, but I have something fun today. Sound good? So, a few weeks back I had the pleasure of collaborating on a shoot with two awesome women. The first one happens to be one of my besties, Erika Parsons-makeup artist extraordinaire, and even with her injured leg, (she was hit by a worthless piece of sh*t drunk driver when crossing the street) she managed to bust out some killer makeup on me. Love ya girl! The second fab female is Misha Hettie, a super fun photographer.  She specializes in making her subjects feel incredibly comfortable thus being able to capture some truly magical moments.  I am so obsessed with the way these photos turned out that they will now live permanently on the home page of my blog. YAY! Working with creative female movers and shakers is one of the BEST perks of my job. Check out some of the pics below and be sure to cyber stalk Erika and Misha!  Sharzad Kiadeh

Weird Japanese Beauty Masks

Many of you may know my obsession with exotic (and weird/crazy) beauty treatments from around the globe. One of the things on my Global Beauty Bucket List was to try the Japanese Nightingale Droppings facial (aka bird sh*t facial). Apparently Geishas used to use this product to remove all their makeup and keep their skin light, bright and clear.  It became even more popular a few years ago when Victoria Beckham said she used. Sounds good right? Right. I also got my hands on some other fun goodies; a snail mask and a snake venom mask. The things we do for beauty! In the video below you can see me using all my new finds…enjoy!
