The second is an fun emerald smokey eye with a soft lip. Both looks are universal and will look fabulous on anyone. Promise. Go out and rock them you cuties! Click the pictures below to see the full tutorials or head to the Eco Tools YouTube channel.
P.S. I used all Eco Tools brushes to create both these looks.
Last week I attended a seriously fun event at Fleurish in Brentwood. Chic mamas and their adorable kids gathered together to create some fall flower magic. What is Fleurish you ask? It’s the first ever design-it-yourself flower bar. They have a DIY station, offer floral classes, private parties and of course you can purchase some stunning arrangements. The space is open, bright and immediately made me happy. Upon arrival I was greeted by their friendly staff and encouraged to take a seat and start learning how to make a beautiful fall inspired arrangement. Disclaimer-I’m not crafty or good at making pretty pinterest worthy things, but with the guidance of the expert team, I had a gorgeous arrangement to take home. With the holidays quickly approaching, this could be the perfect gift to give someone. Visit their website to learn more about this fabulous place.

Want to know my morning routine? Everyday is different, but one thing remains the same- waking up early. Idris is up at 6:30am on the dot everyday. Which means I am too! I’ve always been a morning person, so it isn’t a big deal, but every now and then I’d love to sleep until 8am. #MomLyfe This particular morning was hectic. I got ready while filming, shot my makeup tutorial and hopped on a plane to Florida all before 11:30am. If you want big things you gotta hustle right? Being a busy mama, I like to keep my makeup routine simple. I’ve always loved pop of gold on the lids and a bright teal liner on the lower water line. It’s summery, easy and makes my eyes pop. (It will make YOUR eyes pop too! I promise.) You’ll notice in the video I’m working with EcoTools. (HAPPY DANCE!!!) I’m sure many of you are familiar with them. They’re known for their super affordable line of eco friendly, recyclable brushes. I’ve been a fan for YEARS. The brushes perform extremely well and they are affordable. Bam. Win win for this mama. Hope you enjoy the video below and be sure to check out their website for more makeup inspiration.

The BEST manicure in LA!?! Yup. I think we may have found it. Allow me to introduce you to côte in beautiful Brentwood. This place is an elegant, beach meets chic nail salon with a focus on chemical free manicures. All the polishes at côte are created free of the five major toxins (yipee). What you won’t find at cote is formaldehyde, (ew) dibutyl phthalate (barf), toluene (sick), camphor (nasty) and formaldehyde resin (gross). What you will find is a lux service with an awesome price point. Hi $20 mani! Susan and I headed to the salon a few weeks ago to chat with one of the founders Mary Lennon all about nail care and the importance of clean salon that doesn’t use a ton of chemicals. Mary truly is an innovator when it comes to manis and pedis and she shared some great tips with us! A full episode of TheSASS is below!
Hola! I’m shaking things up a bit and I decided to do a series of Minute Makeup tutorials. Ain’t nobody got time to watch a full face! ha! Actually the purpose of these itty bitty tuts is to give you the exact content you want in the shortest amount of time. I know there’s a ton of busy mamas/humans out there that will appreciate these bite size beauty videos. I hope… First up, minute brows. Enjoy!
My love for the Four Seasons Hotels has been well documented over the years. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting their properties all over the world including Istanbul, Beverly Hills, Boston, Santa Barbara and now Chicago! While in the Windy City last week I was lucky enough to visit their beautiful spa and get a bamboo massage by Thea (she has MAGIC hands!) Warm bamboo sticks were used all over my body to relieve muscle tension, tightness and improve circulation. I was on cloud nine during the treatment. #HappyMama After my pamper sesh, my fam and I dined at Allium where we had a decadent brunch filled with things like sticky bread and a wheel of salad. Yes, yes and more yes. Don’t even get me started on the dessert bar. It was overflowing with the cutest bite size treats. I may have gotten carried away. Oopsies. Ok, you get the idea, Four Seasons is super lux and the service is five star every time. Can I make a suggestion? Get your mama (or tell someone to get you) a gift card to a Four Seasons near you for an extraordinary experience of a lifetime. With the Four Seasons Gift Card, you choose the amount and they choose the gift: overnight stays, dining experiences, luxury spa treatments and more at Four Seasons hotels and resorts around the world. Want some good news!?! This Mother’s Day I have a treat for you. YOU have the chance to win a $250 gift card to ANY FOUR SEASONS in the world. There are 94 locations in 39 different countries. Woohoo! Here’s how you enter: simply tell me why your mom or you is so awesome! It can be as easy as my mom gives the best hugs or my kids go crazy for my lasagna. I want to hear about some awesome MOMS. I’ll probably cry while reading the comments- but bring it! I will randomly select a winner and the Four Seasons will mail you a gift card. If you don’t win, you can still purchase one by clicking here. Good Luck!
* Winner will be announced April 28th
I’m thrilled to share my family photos with you guys! Since we shot our maternity photos at the beach I figured we should keep the theme going and do most of our family photos there as well. (The first few are in my bedroom)I’m also wearing the same dress… partially because I thought it would be cool- like a before and after, but mostly it was because I had nothing to wear! I used the same photographer as well- my beautiful friend Alana. You can check her out on YouTube by clicking here. I ALSO had a special treat of getting my hair done by Audrey from Rabar Beauty. Rabar is a new salon that offers blowouts, cut/color, makeup application, brow tinting and event hosting. If you and your crew want to do a beauty brunch with champagne and hors devours- check ‘em out.
Yes, you read the title correctly! My partner in crime, Susan and I got to experience the Hannibal Lecter Facial, aka Dermaculture i-derm Facial. Skincare expert Marianne Kehoe is the pro behind this unique beauty treatment. As scary as it sounds and as creepy as it looks, it was super relaxing. Marianne was a blast to work with and she has a great skincare philosophy that really promotes nourishing your skin as opposed to stripping it with lasers, peels, etc. My skin definitely felt tight, clean and hydrated afterward. Watch Susan and I in this informative and fun video. Would YOU try it!?!
